Re: May 2025
Max temp busted 10 degrees too high. Only hit mid 90s where I'm at. A forecast bust I like to see. 8-) Yep. "only" 95°F high today. More of the same for the next week, but with highs sagging to 90°F as a mild FROPA/dry line moves through. However, no rain in the foreseeable forecast.

Re: May 2025
This may save our bacon.....may....although I have an outdoor meet to work this weekend. Ughh Though the ridge will be relatively well stacked, the center of the ridging is expected to be farther east in the lower levels, allowing for continued deep LL southeasterly flow from the Gulf. This will ke...

Re: May 2025
Good news. Same here. The ridge stayed Gulf side. Small victories!
The ridge will remain mostly south of us, but is bouncing lows off like a rubber ball in long range forecasts until the end of the month.

Re: May 2025
97 here already with a forecast high of 95. It’s what I expected and I still expect to roll triple digits here tomorrow. Sorry Tireman, soil moisture won’t do much with this amount of mixing with the hot and dry SW flow aloft. Only 90°F here. Much more tolerable. It never reached 100°F in Aggieland...

Re: May 2025
Euro AI and the Ensembles are the best chance to stay under 100°F Wednesday and Thursday.
Regardless, it's going to suck. We're out of town for the weekend to NC. Naturally the heat follows us. It's rainy and 70°F now.

Re: May 2025
I like the euro and GEPS forecast better in the 7-10 day range - Low 90s to near 90 vs upper 90s.

Re: May 2025
The pattern is looking very interesting up here during the 2nd half of May. Still aways out but the setup the models are showing could support a few higher end severe weather events in traditional tornado alley. The global models are showing multiple surface lows forming on the Lee side of the Rock...

The Eyewall Less than a month til hurricane season, and we’re just going to have to see how this year goes By Matt Lanza on May 5, 2025 Speaking from the meteorology point of view, because we are meteorologists and this is a blog about weather, the upcoming hurricane season has few question marks a...

Re: May 2025
Beautiful weekend ahead! We've had great weather in MN. Looks like a good drive back. Temps will rise next Wednesday into the 90s, but the ridging won't last long as an ULL barrels out of the Rockies around the 19th.

Re: May 2025
Good pickup. of rain for coastal areas.
It looks like ridging next week will only last a few days, then an uptick in rain chances as the ridge slides south and weakens a bit.

The ridging doesn't really start until May 15. Forecasts that far off could change.

Traveling, but B/CS and the casa had about 1.2 inches of rain. Let someone else get Tuesday and Wednesday's share - agreed.
Thursday - Sunday look glorious. Pretty good for May! Too bad we won't be back until Saturday evening.

Re: May 2025
The lines of cells merged over us forming one big MCS. The "sky was mad," as our son would have said as a kid. I turned around half a mile from the grocery store as we were dumped on. Three inch an hours stuff. About 2.5 inch an hour on and off at the casa. We're still had 2.9 inches of ra...

Re: May 2025
When these two lines merge, it's not going to be good. Am clearing out the garage or using tarp over the car. Hustling to the store and back before we're sandwiched.
