Re: March 2025

This March has been more like a March in Lubbock than in Houston with this crazy wind. The Costco Pygmy Date is on life support in a pot with copper fungicide. It has been replaced by a Mediterranean Fan palm that’s already got a trunk as tall as me. My days of wrapping palms are over for now, at l...

Re: March 2025

Last few days of March seem to be our only significant hope for any meaningful rain in the HOU metro area. 24th looks like a possibility of rain, but east of I-45...for now. I've seen enough back-and-forth in the modeling for that timeframe to just toss it up into the ether and not try to count on ...

Heat and drought suck. I’ve been trying to tell yall, that cold is nothing economically compared to the Hell that is hot and dry. F Summer always, especially when it comes early. So much cheaper to heat the house than A/C and watering. It's no conte$t. I had the sprinkler system worked on today, be...

If it won't rain, at least it could be cool.

Looking bleak with windy and warm nothing ahead. More dust north of us tomorrow.

Re: March 2025

Not panicked yet, but beginning to worry about a drought. Warm, sunny. No rain is in the foreseeable forecast. I hate running the College Station water this early in the season, especially with all the sodium and Ca - carbonate in it. It's poison.

Re: March 2025

Last perfect day for awhile. Warm/hot and boring for the next week beginning tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a perfect day in my eyes.
