Re: June 2022

Could end up being more of a Nicolas track (much weaker though) after seeing a north northeast movement on some of the new models.

It happens like clockwork everytime. Once the shift starts it doesn't end. At least I got rain last Wednesday, Monday, and today!

Re: June 2022

They have a cone for the ptc out by the Caribbean. It is moving too fast to have a closed circulation and isn't a cyclone yet. The same could be done with our little system at the discretion of nhc.

Makes since as the TC is absorbing all the moisture away.BTW there is a rapid increase in convection south of Louisiana this morning with a broad circulation forming.
Is that the area to watch? I noticed that a bit ago there

The seabreeze looks active so far today with lots of clouds and a few storms popping along the coast! Gotta look at the little wins in this pattern!

Re: June 2022

I wonder if every single daily gfs run will feature a tropical system hitting somewhere in the Gulf or US in general this season? It has another one for our area!

Re: Long range model discussion

Strong west southwest shear has been a constant in the Gulf for awhile now. Still there currently and we will see if it calms down underneath the building upper ridge pattern coming up. Also will see if a weakness happens, but it could be hard for one around here due to drought/ heat.
