Re: June 2022

Far Northwest Cypress (290 and 99) has hit the jackpot this week a couple times. 1.2" on Monday evening and .75 yesterday. I wasn't home when it happened yesterday but went through some good rains in Webster/League city on the way down to Galveston and saw storms towards downtown as we drove back.

Re: June 2022

I didn't see anybody mention it but we had a cell blow up right over my neighborhood in Cypress (Fairfield) just east of 99 yesterday evening. My son and I had just left for a bike ride and were about a mile or so from home and it just unleashed out of nowhere. High winds, thunder, lightening, and v...

Hopefully the rain stays confined to the coast today, we dont need it here
You never turn down non 100 year rainfall event in SE Texas when a drought is looming and you've already been well above average for temps and its not even June.

Re: May 2022

I knew (and posted) awhile back it was gonna flip and flip fast. It happened a little later than I expected, because we’ve been running a month behind for so long all spring and then bam - it’s summer. Not surprised. We may need to look out for an early season spin up in the Gulf. Yes, I posted tha...

^I hope that's right. The air looks pretty stable this am and that's a pretty broken line of showers to our NW.
Yeah that line isn't too impressive for SE Texas and has a lot of work to do if its going to expand as far southwest as most models are showing.

Re: April 2022

Ever since i was a little kid i remember thinking April showers don't bring May flowers to SE Texas. May and June have always been wetter while April was usually dry. There's always exceptions but this seems to be the norm sadly. I really thought that Cap was going to bust yesterday.

Re: March 2022

In the northern parts of southeast Texas and in central Texas there was a snowstorm in April 2007.For Houston the last time we had a winter storm in March was Today in 2014! LOL March 4th.I still remember that night there were widespread thunderstorms all night with temps hovering at freezing. This...
