The rain chances dropped off for this weekend a few days ago already. Originally it was supposed to rain this weekend, but it now got pushed back into Monday.

Re: July 2024

Has anyone seen Twisters yet? I’m thinking about going to see it. Saw it last night. It was good. Very much not a sequel….its own film. There were a couple gratuitous honorary mentions and proverbial/generalized nod to the OG film, but not much else. Still….spoiler alert…..it had tornadoes in it. T...

Re: July 2024

This is great summer weather for Texas. Reminds me of Florida. Everything is lush and green. We're never this green late in July. 87°F and north breeze. This is North Carolina "summer" weather. More please! Rain and some 80s on tap for next week. Coincidentally, North Carolina is having a...

It was expected to fizzle out once it hit 10. Models were in pretty good agreement about that last night.

Nah, wouldn’t worry about that. Models show rain for most of southeast TX over the next few days.

Gonna be a wet next few weeks here Mosquitoes are gonna be outta control. They already are. I was driving along 288 on Saturday evening near a field and my truck was plastered by a gigantic swarm of them. Had to spray it off when I got home and it smelled absolutely horrible. I feel like they’re al...

Big difference between the Euro and GFS. Both models show chances for rain, but the Euro is way wetter.

Re: Hurricane Beryl

Look, the Space City Weather guys have always been great. They were great for Harvey and afterwards. They have had some large misses lately, however. Of course, weather prognostication is never clear, nor an exact science. They are so much into "hype-free forecasts," however, that I think...

Typical summertime weather coming up over the next week. Low to mid 90’s with a 20-40% chance of rain each day.
