Re: May 2024

I’ve hardly got anything at my house so far while my sister in East Bernard got a flood again. That first wave just missed me a few miles to my north and I caught the southern tail of it that only lasted a few minutes of moderate rain. And judging by the look of the radar, it looks like that second ...

Re: May 2024

It doesn’t look as bad as I expected. Mainly just some heavy rains.

Re: May 2024

Looks like things should start to get cranking around 3pm. Literally the worst time for storms to come in. One of those rare days across southeast Texas where we actually get storms during the mid/late afternoon and early evening hours.

The main rain and severe weather have remained to our north - Hearne and Buffalo
I’d watch later this evening for some bad stuff your way.

Re: May 2024

Monday evening we may see some action but most of us should stay dry till then. The northern third of the area is gonna get pummeled over the next couple days though. This is just really annoying at this point.

Re: May 2024

Unfortunately, I will put great money on the notion that the Upper TX coast will get walloped this season. I live here (Galveston County), so I’m not thrilled about thinking it or saying it, but I have a really sinking, foreboding feeling about this. That’d be fine with me cuz I’d be on the clean s...

Re: May 2024

The 12z GFS even through the end of its run continues to advertise another long duration of wet weather, im also hearing that the death ridge may set up shop more over the SW US and not directly over us for the summer, that may provide us with opportunities for most rain and a steady moisture feed ...

Re: May 2024

Interview in NC went well today. So well that the VP gave me a verbal notice of intent to hire and said he wanted to spend his time with me to close in on an initial offer range before I traveled home. Written one will be forthcoming Monday What is it that you do exactly if you don’t mind me asking...

Well it gives me about .90”. That’s double what I had from the last event. I’ll take it lol

I really don’t care two cents what the NAM says. The only time I use that model is during the winter for temperatures. It does somewhat decent for that. Other than that it’s a pile of garbage.

The WPC has increased totals throughout the area. Interesting though that Channel 13 had an 80% chance yesterday for Sunday and now decreased it to 70%. Seems odd to me.

Yes. They should’ve moved it to Saturday.
