Re: 2024 Hurricane Season Discussion

The latest Euro forecast is predicting 250 ACE points. Sheesh.. Yeah at this point it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find some blaring failure modes for this upcoming hurricane season. But of course, like I mentioned on Storm2K at the beginning of the year, there will be patterns and unforese...

Re: May 2024

I hope we don’t get any rain. Yard is a bit of a mud hole. I just had a gorgeous patio installed from Starside Construction. So yes rain won’t fall on my head anymore but I need the yard to dry out. You’re probably gonna get some more rain later today. That stuff out by Victoria looks to be headed ...

I assume there was an error and it meant 3 inches of hail, surely, not 3 feet.
From what I’m hearing, it was 3 feet and not inches. Insane if true.

It’d be nice actually if they expanded that moderate zone south a good 50 miles but I doubt they will.

Re: May 2024

If the MDT risk is expanded further south…Fort Bend would likely be added to the Flood Watch It’s pretty dry where I am. We could get 5” here and handle it pretty well. It’s been a few weeks since we’ve had anything and the crops could use it. May is an important month around here for the crops to ...

0z HRRR has a bullseye of 10+ inches in Harris county fwiw. I'm not concerned about it yet but I'll be watching to see if future runs continue to show it. qpf_acc-imp.us_sc (3).png Seeing how the models have significantly underdone totals, and we have over 24-36 hours to recharge the atmosphere, I ...

Beginning on Monday, much of next week is supposed to be a big multi-day severe weather outbreak. Most of it should remain north of us but on Wednesday it may start to creep into our area.

No kidding. There’s literally a purple cell on my radar app right now just north of Cleveland. Those poor people can’t catch a break. It’s incredible.
