Re: August 2022

Finally it looks like the Euro is onboard with better rain chances.

Re: August 2022

I finally cashed in just a few minutes later after my last post with a quarter inch. Now up to 9.8” on the year.

Re: August 2022

Showers popping up all around me but nothing but a couple sprinkles at my house. Been hearing thunder off and on for over an hour now.

Re: August 2022

Another day of frustration. Cells downstream from me just can’t sustain growth. Meanwhile, over towards Liberty, the continuous building-up of those cells into a complex continues unabated and with no effort.   Before: 2703D4BA-07E4-4274-A71D-7D70991BEF91.png After: 0A543B70-EC4B...

We must have had 2" yesterday in a very short time span. Maybe an hour. It was coming DOWN.
It always rains around Orange. It’s basically just a few steps away from LA.

Re: August 2022

I’m not sure what the CPC is seeing to show a chance for above normal rainfall for southern/southeastern TX over the next few weeks but I’ll take it. I don’t really see anything on the models that would lead me to believe that but they obviously see something. Although the latest 12z Euro did look ...

The rain coverage last week helped alot, especially here in Ft. Bend county. Deeper green grass, trees, etc and other signs of verdance coming in full force, rather than looking like a Rio Grande brush land as earlier in June/first half July.
It’s terrible here in a good part of Wharton County.

Re: August 2022

I really don’t have much hope for today. The mesoscale models for the most part aren’t showing much.

Re: August 2022

We can analyze the heck out of the daily regime... but when harking back to 2011 we all know that drought begets drought... only broken by a very big tropical surge of some form. When we see the daily drift of rich moisture moving our way from Louisiana, only to go poof at the border... it's obviou...
