This summer is worse than 2011 IMO, you know its bad when you’re hoping for a weak tropical storm/ hurricane in the coming weeks, active phase of the MJO is set to cross into the Atlantic basin next week, will see if anything happens
Did you live here in 2011?

Re: May 2022

The next week and a half looks more like mid August than early May. Thankful for the rain today and hope the dry pattern coming up doesn’t last too long.

Re: February 2022

New NAM isn’t very impressive either. Almost shows nothing around here. Looks like a lot of models are showing the moisture drying up fairly quickly when it tries to move in tomorrow afternoon.

Hmm..that 20% has to be frozen at 28 degrees
Yeah but the low temp is probably around 6AM when all the moisture has moved out.

Re: December 2021

It’s getting hard to come to this site. Less discussion and more bleeding all over the board. Winter starts tomorrow. It will probably be like a traditional Niña where roller coaster temps happen. I’d put the over/under on good cold snaps at 2.5. Id put the over/under on freezes (for my place) at 1...

Tonights 00z model runs, stopped them at day 10 (hour 240) CMC on the left and GFS on the right, talk about some crazy model disagreement😂🙃🙃
That’s usually what happens when it’s 10+ days out

What a complete bust lol
Too far out to call it a bust. Also don’t know why you would get your hopes up in what models were showing more than a week out almost.

Re: November 2021

Am I crazy or have we actually had decent fall weather this year? We live in Southeast Texas, we’re gonna have warm days in fall and winter.

Re: November 2021

Highs in the 40’s this time of year is pretty rare around these parts. No one should be disappointed when we “only” have highs in the upper 50’s to low 60’s this time of year.

Kingwood36 Haha same! But it means little unless we start seeing other models jump on board, 10 days out, lots can and will change
The GFS was showing a big front too but it backed off
