My Senior Year of high school. The trees were covered in beautiful ice crystals. Live stream from Lake Charles NWS is comparing the coming weather to 2021 FWIW .

Not bad on rainfall for Houston 4-5”/Beaumont 6-7” at all thanks to the wind shear. May be a different story for Louisiana though. ANNNNND…..as I write this a transformer blew and my power is out. Looks like a Louisiana storm to me. Unfortunately though models are already showing another storm developing in the same region by the middle of next week. And possibly heading into the western gulf.Still plenty of time to watch though. I remember the one, two punch from Gustav and Ike. Left Beaumo...

Interesting that NWS has Hurricane conditions possible Friday into Saturday for Beaumont. What would be the benchmark westward position before the turn that would give credence to the Euro?

Pretty dark on the west end of Beaumont. Yesterday and today definitely were not our average afternoon rain storms. It’s pouring right now.

I’m clueless but are we supposed to be under high pressure in the Golden Triagle? It sure doesn’t feel that way. In fact it feels like it does when we get a tropical storm. Big rain drops and gusty winds.

Do we have a timeframe that the storms will be coming Friday? My daughter will be leaving Galveston and traveling back to Beaumont after her basketball tournament . They will be traveling back Saturday morning to Galveston.
