I'm no weather expert, but in 2017, isn't it disappointing that this goes from almost a non-story in the "mainstream" of weather reporting....to "oh crap, in 3-4 days this could hit anywhere on the Texas coast!"

Fair point, but again, Google US Rainfall map....the further you head east from the coastal bend north-south line, the higher the rainfall averages. Facts are facts.

I don't have the technical details down as much as some here....but take a map of the US....look at the Texas coastal bend and at the westernmost part of the bend (around Corpus) draw a line straight up and down.....to the left of it, if you pick any point in the state, land (Mexico) is directly sou...

No doubt, dewpoints in the 60s make a difference, at least to me.

This oppressive humidity looks to be covering the entire state, even West Texas, with the exception of El Paso (based n current dew points).....Even Midland and Lubbock look to be almost as bad off as the rest of us. Awful.
