If that verifies, we could have major problems by Wednesday of next week. We had a mini ice issue Monday and now flooding issues and we are not done with possible cold weather/P type precipitation that could come in February

Re: January 2024
Here is a closer look at the WRF. It also shows a large swath of ice accumulation of .10-.20 of an inch. wrf-arw_2024-01-14-00Z_033_31.548_263.03_28.084_266.362_Rain-Snow_Radar_highways.png zr_acc-imp.us_sc (1).png We will see if the models still show this in the next runs but considering the NWS H...

It is quite on the forum because most people have given up on snow/ice chances. No one really knows until Sunday because their is too much uncertainties with the system for Sunday Night/Monday.

GFS is close to an agreement. https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/gfs/2024011112/gfs_mslp_pcpn_frzn_us_16.png KHOU has it right IMO. GFS has sleet/snow from a coastal low on Friday the 19th. Can you explain? I haven’t heard anyone in Media, social media mention any sort of system around...

Re: January 2024
Mmmmmhmmmm Traders agree with me too. This isn’t a December ‘22 Is this leaning more toward 2021? It’s different from 2021, no doubt. This reminds me a bit more of the mid 70s and mid 80s. Could we bottom out bad? Yeah, but that would have to be from over performing precip. It’s not going to happen...

Re: January 2024
How is it possible for the Freeze line not to be in SE Texas by Sunday Evening? ABC13 has a high of 46 this day. With the north wind that can’t be possible. If they are going by the GFS model, it is too warm

It’s funny how both ABC 13 and KHOU 11 have jumped onboard with the possibility of Freezing Rain for Monday into Tuesday Morning. It may change to how much Freezing Rain and Sleet. Wonder if it possibly for Winter Weather Advisories to be hoisted by Friday night

Re: January 2024
I don’t think the models are not handling the cold air well. I think most of the model runs are coming in warmer than they should and as the cold shots are coming, it will be going over freshly laid snowpack in the northern half of the US.

Re: 2023 Hurricane Season Discussion
It truly is demoralizing to see a system make landfall to the south of us with so much moisture, absolutely depressing Our time will come and when it does we will probably get too much rain all at once. It just right now we have to endure the worst Heat/Drought period we have seen in our lifetime.

Re: 2023 Hurricane Season Discussion
I mean their really isnt much reason to talk about this, impacts will be virtually zero in SE Texas, this system will likely not make landfall any further north than corpus, so we arent getting jack from this, next! Model guidance is honing in more or just south of corpus, this isnt our system and ...
