Im not seeing a big death ridge pattern showing up in the models for summer, that could spell big trouble for the gulf coast and Texas come hurricane season, leaves the door wide open for someone to get absolutely wacked

Cpv17 no im in katy and we have had at least 6 inches of rain now, maybe a bit more than that, depends on where in the city you are, i know where at least I am, the ground cant take anymore, just a gigantic pool in our backyard lol

Guidance is coming in more progressive with the MCS tommorow, 00z mesoscale models cutting back on rain totals somewhat, thats very encouraging to see!

The 12z HRRR has a bullseye of about 14 inches across parts of SE texas, definitely worth watching very closely, could be absolutely devastating if that occurs over the wrong area again

The 00z HRRR is very concerning, shows very heavy all day sunday into early monday morning targeting the same areas that got hit so hard this week, widespread 1-3 inches with isolated 6+ inches in spots, that would be absolutely catastrophic for those folks in that general area, hopefully that doesn...

This deeply concerns me, seeing 2+ feet of rain from a non tropical system, and with hurricane season being just around the corner and potentially being a hyper active season as well , it definitely concerns me of what could happen down the road

Cpv17 yeah thats a concerning steering pattern for sure, big ridge sitting over the SE US, that definitely will allow for fewer recurves and more storms getting directed towards the gulf potentially, could be a wild ride for sure

Didnt even get a drop of rain from those storms, pathetic, that’s why i go with the saying “ if it looks too be good to be true, it usually is”
