This looks set to train over the same area for quite awhile. http://www.sanfordlabs.com/pics/sarain.png That is some serious flooding going on along the IH35 corridor. It's amazing what mother nature can throw at us. Hopefully there aren't too many peopl...

Re: Tropical Storm Hermine Heavy Rain/Severe Threat

Any reports from Mopac and W. Braker area??? I've got business interests in that area.

Man just taking a look at Radar I can take a wild guess. Hope people near the rivers are heeding this ....river levels are no doubt rising fast.

Re: Tropical Storm Hermine Heavy Rain/Severe Threat

I would watch out later tonight and overnight for redevelopment in the Gulf ....there is still a ton of moisture available out there and it won't take much to get it going again.

Re: Tropical Storm Hermine Heavy Rain/Severe Threat

Afraid that is just the beginning .... looks like Hermine is going to be a super soaker for most of us west of IH 45. Looks like I might be in line here in SGR for a training event that may be setting up for this afternoon. Definitely need to keep and eye on the radar and also be on the lookout for ...

I would not be surprised at all to see this thing become a Tropical Depression later today. It looks very good on Satellite and as Steve said pressures are falling in the area.

Re: wxdata Dan Meador 1951-2010

Re: Gulf Of Mexico Development?

Well we all remember what Alex did for us right? Brazoria County was hit pretty hard with heavy rain. Gonna be interesting to see how this pans out the next couple of days. I'm not sure who said it a couple of weeks ago but they said we may need to pay attention to the Gulf over the Labor Day Weekend.
