Re: September 2020: Tracking Beta
It is soupy and gross up here in Atascocita. That seems a little concerning as it moves further east and the atmosphere feels so charged right now.

Re: September 2020
I saw a little bit about it yesterday I think, but do we think there is anything worth paying attention to in the southern Gulf right now?

Re: August 2020: Tracking Laura
It still could wobble west, if there's anything 2020 has taught us it's that anything can happen. That said no matter where it makes landfall or goes please keep those people in your thoughts, and whenever it's safe to do so help out in anyway possible. Thank you to everyone on the board, sadly I fe...

Re: August 2020: Tracking Laura
I remember being in Humble during Rita and if I remember correctly it was forecast closer to us then it "wobbled" to the east at landfall. I also just wonder if this is another day east, night west type of thing. It's been very interesting to watch to say the least.

Re: Invest 96L: SW Gulf of Mexico
Maybe having totally off early guidance is our key. Seems like with Lee there was so much certainty we would get something then nothing so how about certainty we get nothing, maybe that leads to something.

Re: INVEST 93L: Possible Labor Day Gulf Storm!
Is the increased cloud coverage an indication of the High breaking down or moving opening the door for some moisture from this or anything else?

So what happens to all the moisture currently in the gulf, namely the larger blob off central mexico. Does it just dissapate?

Re: February 5-11-11 Winter Weather Advisories Issued
In terms of now casting. What is the big concern. It is getting colder but it looks like the rain is ending as well. Are we concerned about more moisture coming or what's already on the ground freezing?

Re: TD 5 Gulf Of Mexico
it seems as if the center doesn't really want to cooperate what center is left. So the question becomes where is all this convection to the southwest headed, who is it going to be a rainmaker for, and does it have the chance to become something of it's own?

Re: 96L Watch Western Caribbean
So my question is why? It seems like there is plenty of convection and it's about to travel through waters that just produced a cat 2 hurricane in June, so what is preventing this from a RI type situation like Humberto had?

Re: CAT 2 Hurricane Alex. 55 Miles NE of La Pesca. 100 MPH/9
Maybe the scariest part of this for us in the Houston area is just how strong a storm this has become in JUNE when Hurricanes are so uncommon. The gulf is ripe for the picking

Re: June Weather Discussion
So where is this low forecasted to go. Any chance it gets off shore, it looks like its headed south now. If it gets off shore then what? Guidance has been a bit murky concerning the Upper Air feature. Some models suggest that the Upper Low will meander around the Western GOM through the weekend int...

It's obviously a bit early for it but all the clouds just off the Texas/Mexican border remind you it's about that time.
