Re: Hurricane Season 2010--Thoughts and Predictions
I appreciate your thoughts srain. I have read all of the forecasts that have been put out by top mets/forecasters and every single one of them is pointing towards an active to very active season. In my un-educated opinion, the GOM will be a playground for tropical systems this year. What I see in ou...

Yea, the radar is looking quite colorful this morning over portions of southeast, Texas. I wasn't expecting that!

Re: February Weather Discussion. Wild Winter Storms?
As I said in Ed's funderstorm thread, we had some good hail here at my office off of Rayford/Sawdust and I-45. It was coming down good! The thunder was nice to hear also....not sure when the last time I heard thunder was?

Re: Contest! First Fun-derstorm Day
Well the line hit and man did it have some good hail in it! Lots of pea sized hail that started to cover the ground. It lasted for a couple of minutes but is now gone. That was very unexpected.

Re: Tropical Cyclone Probabilities For Upper Texas Coast
What I would like to know, what are the seasoned forecasters saying about chances for the gulf coast this year? It was eerily quiet last year, that is for sure.

Re: February Weather Discussion. WSW Issued! Snow/Sleet/Rain?
It has completely shut off here near Lake Conroe. Just a trace of accumulation. I made a snowball from the snow that did accumulate off of cushions on my lawn furniture and put it in the freezer. No accumulations on the grass...just a very tiny bit on the hood of cars and back porch furniture....

Re: February Weather Discussion. WSW Issued! Snow/Sleet/Rain?
Winding down up here near Lake Conroe. We still have big flakes coming down but as wxman pointed out, just too darn warm for it to stick good. It is just not starting to stick and the moisture is moving out. I made a wet snowball or two off of the vehicles and that was it so I guess you could say we...

Re: February Weather Discussion. WSW Issued! Snow/Sleet/Rain?
Just light to moderate snow here at the house still. Nothing even close to accumulating. Anyone seeing any accumulation in Montgomery County? Temps were just way too warm! I've been cursed going all the way back to 2004. lol Once again, people up my way will just have to wait till the next one. Who ...

Re: February Weather Discussion. WSW Issued! Snow/Sleet/Rain?
I've had a good moderate snow falling for about 45 minutes. It will get light then heavy but nothing accumulating. No big deal but I it looks like the window is closing for anything accumulating in my area. It sure is pretty watching it fall though. I thought this would be the first time to see accu...

Re: February Weather Discussion. WSW Issued! Snow/Sleet/Rain?
Looks like central Montgomery County is in a dry slot per my personal observation and radar. I hope y'all are right about the radar filling in because I just don't see anything that would bring me heavy snow for accumulations of any sort. Hope I'm wrong of course.

Re: February Weather Discussion. WSW Issued! Snow/Sleet/Rain?
My aunt just called again (5 minutes west of me) and said it is coming down good. No snow flakes here yet. lol
Edit, I've got big flakes here at the house now. Whhhewww, got a little nervous there for a minute or 5.
Nothing heavy yet, just scattered big flakes. Time to go outside!

Re: February Weather Discussion. WSW Issued! Snow/Sleet/Rain?
Just got home and didn't see a flake on the way home. Hardly even a drizzle here at the house. Temp back up to 42 when it was 37 earliar. Where are you at? Snow has been mixed with rain--if not all snow at some points across southern, western and northern Montgomery County. I don't see how you alwa...

Re: February Weather Discussion. WSW Issued! Snow/Sleet/Rain?
Not a full blown snow yet near Lake Conroe. My wife just called to confirm her text. It was raining then it started to sleet when she started seeing huge flakes mix in. Right now it mostly sleet with a little rain with a stray flurry from time to time.
