Re: February 2024

I’m not seeing any cold air in the models that will give us any type of a winter storm. It looks like a goood storm system around the 17th give or take but it doesn’t look like the cold air will be there. Other than that, nada.

Re: February 2024

Even if we get a winter storm mid month doesn’t mean Spring isn’t just around the corner. In fact, signs of Spring are already starting to show where I live. New grass is coming up and the weeds are going crazy along the fence lines and around the house! 🤟🏼

Re: January 2024

Yes, the globals can do a good job with arctic air. I don't think any of us ever disagreed with that. We were just stating that usually the mesoscale models will do a better job with temps and precip in the short term specifically with shallow air. I was never debating about the overall lows( I cou...

Looking ahead after this mess, it looks like a nice cool/cold Thanksgiving for us here in Southeast, Texas. Perfect timing and Roll Tide!

Over 3 inches here in Conroe. I had a river rolling through my backyard earlier this evening. What a beautiful sight coming off on hell of a summer.

Re: August 2023

We have had a steady light rain since I last posted...enough to form puddles in the driveway and rain water slowly flowing from the gutters. Very nice and still coming down.

Re: August 2023

Completely collapsed on me here in Central Montgomery County. Just a very light drizzle but the temp dropped about 20 degrees and a nice breeze blowing. I'll take it.

Re: June 2023

You couldn’t pay me a lot of money to live in the Valley. Brutal down there. Got through this tournament with a championship today and my oldest walked it off in extras so that made the 110s beat indices more tolerable! Awesome! I remember those days very well when my son played travel ball with th...

Re: June 2023

My gosh what a bunch of cry babies in here. Yes it is a bit hotter than normal but overall, typical summertime weather for us here in Texas. We had a nice wet Spring which wasn't going to last when summer kicked in. Welcome to Texas.

You don’t see mammatus clouds very often in Florida. Hard to tell in the photo Cool. Gulf coast or Atlantic? This week in Boca at the Boca Raton resort on the Atlantic. Next two weeks back to our place back in IRB on the west coast. Thank goodness for house sitters keeping the plants and lawn alive...

Re: May 2023

:D Well, according to the latest 7-day QPF from this morning, that sure deescalated quickly 🙄 West of 45 stands a much better chance of seeing some significant rains. It’s still possible east of 45 but more likely west of there. And I also posted a couple days ago this could be more of a south and c...

Re: February 2023

Winter is DONE as the mid to long range shows nothing significant coming down...no more chance of freezing temps. Spring has puked all over our landscape already with even some bluebonnets already popping up. My cardio workouts will now be outside and time to hit the bulkheads for catfish and crappie!
