Re: October 2015 - Heavy Rainfall/Coastal Low/Flash Flood Li
I see rain developing just east of San Antonio....Is that where the cold front is stationary? If that holds and intensifies, event is far from over.

Harris County is about to get in on the action... Training moving in from the SW and pushing NE as nuby stated dead smack in the middle of rush hour I might add.

Re: JUNE 2015 -Tracking Tropical Storm Bill
Looks like training band of rain encroaching on the SW/W periphery of Harris County. System doesn't seem to be making much Westward progress... Almost due north and stair stepping slightly NNE a little.

Re: JUNE 2015 -Tracking Tropical Storm Bill

That can not be good for us!
Both satellite and radar indicate that Bill is on the most outer edge of the East coast ridging which is resulting in a nearly stalled system. This is concerning for the Houston location since [b]a line of ver...

Re: March: Winter Weather Advisories/Warning Issued
The saving grace for some is that we are not firmly entrenched in sub freezing weather. Wide spread 32/33s across the area. I suppose we can cool off another degree or 2 before events end or we could warm up slightly. Wait and see

WOWEEE!!!!!
That will be an absolute nightmare!!! One has to think that deep convection will bring warm air down and keep us around or above freezing. If not, gonna be some major problems

Re: February: Will The Active Pattern Continue?

What's disappointing about this week is most models were forecasting a changeover to snow for this event. Pro-Mets assured us the air would be Plenty cold and below freezing therefore supporting snow after initial mix. The only question was QPF...

Don't think it will be an issue for us, but notice Convection developing over San Antonio. Also the moisture plume expanding northward near Houston.

Re: January: Strong Arctic Front/Winter Storm Warning/Adviso
Just a minor gripe bout this event. Although moisture amounts was sort of iffy, the one thing we were assured was that temps would be solidly below freezing for most of this event. Clearly that didn't happen. From a weather enthusiast stand point I can admit I'm slightly disappointed. I had higher h...

Re: January: Strong Arctic Front/Winter Storm Warning/Adviso
During this time, I am going to remind folks to watch the models. Ask the pro mets questions, but be patient with them. They are busy during this time of an event. We are honored and pleased they are here. Their information and wisdom are welcomed. This is an ever changing event and it will take ti...
