Re: JUNE 2015 -Tracking Tropical Storm Bill
staying the same lol. been accumulating around 2.5 - 3 inches per hour in those storms. getting pretty close to coming ashore just east of Matagorda. How is that possible? how is what possible? everything I said seems entirely possible to me. not sure what you're referring to the strength of these ...

Re: JUNE 2015 -Tracking Tropical Storm Bill
Folks along the Brazos River will likely have a lot of lingering issues from Bill. A lot of rain fell into the NW areas of the river. All the areas to the south are still full from the May Storms. All that water has to go somewhere. still watching those storms east of corpus creeping toward Matagor...

Re: JUNE 2015 -Tracking Tropical Storm Bill
I've been watching the storms east of Corpus.. 3 inches per hour. Well, that's 'cause they're still over the Gulf waters. When they move inland in another few hours (of darkness, that is), it's another story.[/quote] I think it's more related to the dynamics of the storm, I expect some of this heav...

Re: JUNE 2015 -Tracking Tropical Storm Bill
This is FAR from over. Serious feeder bands offshore and wherever one sets up (and stalls) could receive upwards of 10" of rain over several hours. Hopefully the tail end falls apart, but these systems are known to drop a surprise or two on their way out. I've been watching the storms east of ...

looks like it's coming down about an inch per hourCromagnum wrote:Rain may not be heavy here in most of Houston, but Bill has some explosive thunderstorm activity right now. Look how cold the cloud tops are right now. Probably massive rain underneath the core at the moment.

Re: JUNE 2015 -Tracking Tropical Storm Bill
appears to be back on N - NNW heading again. rain doesn't seem to be very heavy with this thing. It's amazing Is what he just said good or bad, srainhoutex? well, it means the rain with this storm isn't very heavy, which is good. the fact that it is on a n-nnw heading is merely an observation and i...

Re: JUNE 2015 -Tracking Tropical Storm Bill
I distinctly remember there being mention of a stall around Matagorda bay in one of the model runs The Euro was 12 hours slower than the other computer guidance and a run or two suggested a stall...if I recall correctly. I stopped looking at the guidance completely yesterday and focused on satellit...

Re: JUNE 2015 -Tracking Tropical Storm Bill
I think Bill shows more northward progress again. I really think we're gonna see a good turn to the north at some point and we are not out of any sort of woods at all around here. to me it looks like maybe a banding feature will develop roughly along 45 from Galveston to Houston
