Re: Tracking the Tropics: TS Gaston & INVEST 99L
I guess the flip flopping isn't done. I don't understand how this system would move north with that ridge sitting there. GFS is more organized on the 18z run, main reason it sends it northeast is the breakdown in ridging paired with a ridge that is supposed to develop right over Texas. I am a littl...

Re: JUNE 2016 - Heavy Rainfall/Flooding Possible Into Weeken
I'm right down the road from you on Woodlands Parkway. They were talking about the upper low going through core phase rainfall, but I didn't hear mention of the surface low, I was wondering if it was going to go through a nocturnal core phase type event tonight. this makes me nervous - that's why I ...

Re: JUNE 2016 - Heavy Rainfall/Flooding Possible Into Weeken
I don't know, but what was previously green/yellow on the radar has, in the last 30 minutes, grown to red and orange. We now have lightning and thunder along with the rain. I haven't missed a single refreshing of the radar in hours. lol I'm watching . . I think this is in response to the approachin...

Re: April 2016 - Severe WX/Excessive Rainfall Threat This We
Thankfully for those that were flooded out of their homes we dodged the worst of the Heavy Rainfall. I do see that there have been 5 deaths, some children in East Texas from this event...so far. Not sure "hype" is a word I would use regarding what was posted here in this forum or even fro...

When we expect it it doesn't happen and when we don't, it does. WeirdOunce wrote:Seems like we were all decked out for the party, but the band never showed...or just the girl with the tambourine.

Re: April 2016 - Cut Off Upper Low/Trough/Flood Emergency
It is moving fast. My only concern is I have seen a few runs slowing this line or even stalling before moving off the coast. Hopefully it will make it offshore! At this point, no more rain is needed. I've been wondering if all of the water on the ground would help it strengthen at all. interesting ...
