Re: August 2017: Tracking Harvey/Coastal Impacts/Inland Floo

Thank you. Just concerned and have resigned myself to the fact our bay house in Port Alto will not survive.

I'm having that bust panic feeling now as well. Only in Texas can fear of flood flip to fear of drought and vice versa in a nanosecond.

Thank you all for the updates. Not knowing the terminology and going back and forth to the weather 'dictionary', your input is greatly appreciated.

Re: Tropical Storm Isaac: Passing South Of Key West

Not sure if my other post worked or not. My name is Randall and I've visited this board frequently over the years :D I have several concerns with Isaac. 1. It is an I storm like Ike 2. It's path is virtually identical with the 1900 Hurricane that blasted Galveston as a Category 4. The most reliable...

Re: February: Flood Watch Issued Central/SE Texas 2/17-18

As much as I would love to have major rain here in the Houston area, I love, love, love seeing all the rain in the hill country. Those lakes need it. I'm not going to be greedy - the whole state needs rain.

My niece goes to Rice Consolidated in Altair, south of Columbus and she just text that they are closing early today. I'm waiting for a reply as to whether or not weather related. Just heard back and it's because of the weather.

It's been fun following the forum. We've had more freezing temps in the past few days than we did all last winter (or so I remember)! Yes, I want snow. I may have jinxed everyone because I brought work home 'in the event'. Sorry if I did but I still think we will see something - maybe not as much as...

Okay...here goes: Some of you are being very childish...and you know who you are. Just stop. A couple of things you guys need to think about before calling everybody a liar and calling the event a 'bust.' 1.) Very few of you are well versed in the world of meteorology. You do not have the privilage...

Re: February Weather. Arctic Blast/Snow/Ice/Winter Storm Wa

Jeff and ALL the other WX guys/gals, thank you so much for all the info & guidance. If it wasn't so cold, I would pull out the rum in honor of Dan - but on second thought, maybe I will anyway.
