Re: March: Winter Weather Advisories/Warning Issued

Re: January: Strong Arctic Front/Winter Storm Warning/Adviso

Latest from Jeff..seems out of sync with the latest talk here on the board...anyone care to chime in? Not a whole lot of change early this evening…. Full 18Z (noon) guidance packages are in and continue the trend which started around 12Z (600am) this morning of a drier and warmer event. Feel the sno...

Re: January: Strong Arctic Front/Winter Storm Warning/Adviso

Aaand, we're back, after a little down time there! I just wanted to remind everyone that the cold air and freezing temps were never meant to make it into Houston until the early Tuesday morning hours. On that note, I just stepped outside and it is significantly colder than it was an hour ago, I thin...

Re: NOVEMBER: Arctic Front With Chilly Rain/Sleet/Ice/Snow?

I know it's more than a week out, but what does early guidance have in store for us for Thanksgiving day? Hope it's a chilly Thanksgiving, I feel like we haven't had one of those in quite some time!

Since our weather forum is branching out to a much wider audience, which, by the way, I think is a huge compliment to the amazing wealth of knowledge provided by our members - I think it would be beneficial to either break the forum into regional sections, or at least start multiple monthly threads ...

I am a fifth grade math and science teacher in Kingwood, and was curious to know if field trips are available for the students to take a tour of the news/weather facilities at KHOU. My school just recently became a weatherbug school, and I think it would be awesome for the students to be able to see...

Re: September. Heavy Rainfall Event/Flooding Possible 9/28-3

He appears to be completely stationary. I've had the radar loop up since about 7 pm, refreshing every now and then and it really appears to just be sitting there right over open water.
