Stalled frontal boundaries in early August suggests increasing rainfall and 'cooler' temperatures with increased cloud cover. It's a bit worrisome to see a persistent trough developing as peak Hurricane Season arrives.

Woke up at 5 AM and had to close my bedroom windows. It was a unusually chilly 56F here in the Smoky Mountains on July 21st! What a glorious day in the Smoky Mountains. Woke up to a chilly 55F this morning and our high today was 77F. Looks like the 4th of July will be below normal from Texas to the Carolinas.
