Watching the WV loop of the Southern half of the US...you can clearly see a wedge of dry air working in from the North and East, covering the East half of TX and Western LA. This is pretty much shuting the door to anymore westward movement. Would have been nice to get some rain, but here in Central ...

Bingo! Recon just punched center on it's 4th pass...Slightly North of due West, about 16 miles from the last fix. Isaac has moved 34 miles WNW in the last 3 hours. 977mb. Vortex to follow.

So far I can't find any obs to indicate it's decoupling. If this next pass shows a rise in pressure then there might be some issues. Recon has been showing a steady pressure right now. Well that was the idea about seeing what the next fix showed. ;) Only have had the one fix since this latest movem...
