Re: Hurricane Beryl

Trying to weigh the risk of a small outfit making it vs the stable (but no upward momentum for me) job at a big chemical company. Compensation an...

Re: Hurricane Beryl

Herzog and SCW guys are very intelligent and have consumed more real time and real life, in the details, meteorological scenarios than I ever will. It’s really frustrating to see commoners challenging their skill sets, but in the age of social dumbass media, it’s become expected. With that said, I’d...

Re: Hurricane Beryl

Since everyone is still dealing with the aftermath of Beryl in some form or fashion, this storm is still fresh on everyone’s mind. Now I simply ask everyone affected by this storm to close their eyes for a moment and imagine if 150mph Category 4 Hurricane Laura had struck our region head on like Hu...

Y'all may send a strong, slow moving, WIDE Tropical Storm my way next time. I only ask for a foot of rain in August.

Re: Hurricane Beryl

After things subside, I'm hitting HEB because distribution will be disrupted for days. The Aggies are still in that rural mode. A&M isn't a 4500 Corps only institution, it's 75,000 students with the concrete, runoff, and construction that accompany 250,000 living in BCS and 400K in the "me...

Re: Hurricane Beryl

Besides wanting rain, this is why I wanted the storm to hit Seadrift and run up our way. Rural counties are much better prepared to handle something like this from a cleanup and electricity perspective. Now we have some stalled commerce and heat and misery for a few days in the city, and that can e...

I might get an inch of rain.

External battery charging for phone. Charging laptop JIC. Although we’re in The Woodlands we’re ready. Went healthy route and got apples and Graham crackers yesterday. I won’t be getting much sleep tonight. Do not like night storms I'm here with you in the Woodlands. Healthy route as well, plus Bou...

Re: Hurricane Beryl

The 6z NAM can f right off with its rainfall totals. If we get a .5 inch from this in Western CoCo, I’m going to sacrifice something to make sure we have a Winter that makes all of you miserable. Like 26 inches of snow or something.

Summer sucks y’all!
