Re: January: Tracking The Jan 7th-11th Storm System
Everyone is getting a lot of rain but this is really a lame event. Just rain. Nothing exciting. Oh well. I guess exciting weather wouldn't be exciting if it happened frequently

Re: January 2013: Potential Late Week Wintry WX Central TX?
I would be cautiously optimistic. It is still very possible that this event ends up being nothing. We just have to see what the next model runs say in the next few hours and then begin to nowcast the rest of the way.

Re: January 2013: Tracking A New Year Storm?
I know it's a sunday and and this GFS run should be taken with a grain of salt but this board is surprisingly quiet for the GFS showing snow flurries 96 to 102 hours out

Would I be correct to say once that weak line of storms to our west moves through we will be done?

Re: Hurricane Isaac: TS Watch Extended To E Of High Island
Tulane has now decided to move us out of our dorm rooms and into a central room on our floor. Now we have to sleep on the floor in a crowded room. They say it apparently is about to get a lot worse but I don't see that by looking at the radar

Re: Hurricane Isaac: TS Watch Extended To E Of High Island
the rain bands are expanding north over new orleans so this thing definitely has a northward component to it. I can hear the winds outside of my dorm room howling through campus

Re: Tropical Storm Isaac: Moving Over The Eastern Gulf Of Me
All Dr. Neil Frank was doing was talking about how hurricanes can SOMETIMES go outside the cone. It's NOT going to happen with Isaac. He knows that and most of us here know that. Sorry if that ruffles a few little feathers here. Hey, I wouldn't mind seeing SOME weather off of Isaac being the weathe...

Re: Tropical Storm Isaac: Moving Over The Eastern Gulf Of Me
Remember the famous technical term used in past storms, "WEEBLE WOBBLE" ? Well, Isaac is doing just that. After going nearly blind staring at images, I saw Isaac making that NW turn, but now, I see the WNW move taking place once more. This storm could wind up in Brownsville for all we kno...

Looks like things are gunna get really rough around hear in about 48 hours. But before that happens I am ...
