Re: April: Dry Pattern Ahead but Keeping an Eye on the Weeke

Call me Debbie Downer or whatever...but I've just lost hope. Another round this weekend 'mainly north of College Station to Livingston'. It's always the same. Time to face reality -- there's going to be another round of dead trees even if The Nino tries to save us this summer. It will be too late. ...

Re: January: Tracking The Jan 7th-11th Storm System

This place is pretty quiet seeing as how the main event is about to unfold. Finally getting the training stroms creeping ever so close to Houston. If it stalls its eastern movement over the city, things could get ugly.

Re: September: Rain Ending Monday. Mid-Upper 50s Wed-Thu

All these post about everyone getting rainfal is depressing. I only got 0.25 in Spring from the entire event. To make matters worse, I got a big goose egg from the last 2 events! Why cant I get some good rain. More sprinkers for me!

Re: May: Slight Risk Severe Storms Thursday To End The Month

For the 4th straight event, no rain at my house. Having to water the yard every 3 days.
I'm starting to feel the drought of 2012 coming on at least in the Spring area.

Re: February: Slight Risk Severe Storms 2/3-4. Heavy Rainfal

Heavy rain last night and this morning in Polk, Liberty and San Jacinto Counties. My mom picked up 3-4 inches and southern Polk got 7-9 inches. Flash Flood Warnings in effect of course. Amazing how a heavy rain event can occur in a localized area where a boundary sits in the same place for hours. Go...

Re: January: Tornado Watch/ Slight Risk/ 1/25 With Heavy Ra

Wow, this board is rocking! Rightly so. With all these damage reports coming in looks like a true severe weather event for SE TX. Hope it does not get too bad. I will report from the Galleria area (San Felipe and 610) once the weather gets here. That is if the power is on.

Re: January: Warming Up With Showers/Cold Front Tuesday

No its not as cold as it could be up there but if I remember right last week there were some 40s and 50s up there. So it is becoming colder. And I agree with srain, February has dealt some sharp cold for us in SE TX many times before, including last year. I remember when growing up here most of the ...

Re: January: Warming Up With Showers/Cold Front Tuesday

The source region in Canada is becoming much colder! Just hope we can get some of the cold air to transfer south. Waking up to 64 in January is a real bummer.

Re: Texas: January Olympic Trails Marathon Forecast 1-14

I wish the stepping down process would happen for about 2 months straight to bring in a ton of cold air and more than a miracle chance at snowfall. The impact weather webinar this morning wasn't very encouraging about getting cold and precip around the Gulf Coast region at the same time. Can never r...

Wow! 10.4 inches! If I could just get like 5 inches in Spring I would be good for years to come.

Re: Texas:January 8-10:Winter Wx W/Rain-Storms & Heavy Rainf

Hey everyone. I have read this forum for years but thought I would sing up hopefully in time for some cold weather. I am fairly knowledgeable with SE TX weather but am not a Met at all. Hope to have some good topics to chat about in the coming months!
