Re: July 2024
Also there may be a price to pay fore getting all this rain over the state (persistent weakness in place). I'm really concerned that we may have another storm before the season is done.

Tomorrow's setup is sneaky, and someone could get several inches of rain tomorrow. As the surface low will be behaving like a tropical low.

Re: July 2024
No bust down here, if you think it's a bust you probably read too much into the broadbrush high rainfall totals the models had. It's Summer and due to a lack of forcing this time of year, without a TC or Tropical Low excessive rainfall amounts tend to be localized. Just because your specific neighbor...

Re: July 2024
And there’s nothing to do in Bay City compared to being in The Heights. I know...😒 I am enjoying how quiet it is though. And some of the area is more scenic than I expected (including Wharton).(Le Tulle Park as an example in Bay City) Gonna try to make the most of it, and hopefully no more TC's. I'm...

Re: July 2024
Well looks like I'm officially moving to Wichita Falls around the 15th of September.Which means I'm now going to be here in Bay City until the peak of hurricane season.I was hoping to be up there earlier in the summer to avoid any TC's this year. 😒 And there’s nothing to do in Bay City compared to ...

Re: July 2024
Should have a good week of hot but dry weather, bur already models are starting to show another weakness in the ridge developing over the state in 8-9 days, maybe a weak cut off upper low that could reintroduce rain chances I’m not sure how much rain we had here from Beryl. Rain gauge stops at 5” a...

Re: Hurricane Beryl
Beryl made Hurricane Nicholas (2021) look like child's play. Both were cat 1's that made landfall near the same area. Nicholas was pretty much a nonevent for a good portion of our area due to its weird track. Yep the track and also the shear, that made Nicholas "half naked". Here are the o...

Re: Hurricane Beryl
Still without power here, and just got cellular service back. The building next to me had a wall failure last night with bricks everywhere. A lot of trees down and large limbs. But it’s less damage than what I saw in the Heights during the May Derecho.
