Well that was a wild ride here in timbergrove, glad to finally getting power back but understandable that it’s been taking them so long. I love a good strong (but well behaved) thunderstorm, but man that got dicey in a hurry. Sounded like a freight train for a good 10 minutes. Here’s to hoping that...

Re: May 2024
As far as rainfall depiction, i wouldn't trust the models in this range,as they have had a habit this season of overdoing the intensity of the Mexican ridge.(Especially the GFS) i feel chances are that several of the disturbances(storm complexes to be specific) that the models show moving in from th...

Re: May 2024

Sorry if you mentioned this already, but did your property receive any damage? No thank goodness outside ...

Re: What started your interest in weather?
For me it was the 1997 ice storm and Tropical storm Frances. We woke up to water entering our house the morning after Frances made landfall. We had to be rescued, being a kid at the time I thought it was fun lol.

Re: May 2024
I honestly think the damage locally was worse than from Ike.Trees and power lines/poles are down everywhere and massive trees have went through several roofs in the Heights area. Many of these trees survived Ike but did not survive this storm. I still have more pictures believe it or not. There is l...

Unfortunately there are reports of 4 deaths from the storm today. The damage across the city is insane. There are buildings that had complete wall failure.

Re: May 2024
It really was like being in a hurricane eyewall. I don’t usually get scared of the weather but I had to go into an interior room because it was getting legitimately scary.

So much for Matt Lanza… This is by far the strongest winds I’ve ever seen outside of Hurricane Ike. There is damage EVERYWHERE the scariest situation I’ve been in weather wise.
