Re: October 2024
The weather here has some large temp swings. We've been having daily highs in the low to mid 90's during the daytime. But overnight/early morning the temps have been dropping into the upper 50's.

Re: October 2024
Kind of weird seeing where Milton is forming and then seeing all the models saying Florida instead of Texas/Louisiana. That's actually a common direction storms take in the gulf in the month of October (even when they develop in the western gulf). Due to the westerlies storms move northeast towards...

Re: September 2024
I'm glad I don't have to worry about hurricanes anymore, I love them but the long duration power outages are unbearable.

Re: September 2024
The same front that just moved through here today, will briefly stall in central Texas. Before moving through SE Texas later this week. As a cutoff low reinforces the front mid week and helps to push it off the coast.

There's been brief weak semi discreet supercells in the post frontal environment up here today.Nothing strong but kinda cool to see happening behind the front.

Re: September 2024
Don please send some snow down to us se texas folks in the winter please!😁😂😂 No pressure! I'll try LOL😄. The main reason why this area has not experienced the snow drought that DFW has is because Wichita Falls is just far enough north and west to get clipped by cold core lows more often than DFW do...

Re: September 2024

Believe it or not the only reason why i moved away was for the weather LOL. The main reason being to experience winter storms, and the other reason was for tornado ch...

Re: September 2024
Well I’m out of SE Texas and I’m finally in Wichita Falls.Looking forward to fall. Good luck seeing exciting weather up there lol you’ll need it. I can see that perspective if you’re looking for a lot of rain. But this area has a much more active weather pattern in the winter and severe weather sea...

Re: Invest 91L
Liking these model runs so far hopefully they stay east, im leaning towards a landfall around Lake Charles and maybe as far east as Lafayette. The stronger the storm gets the more east it will go.

Re: September 2024 (Tracking Invest 90L)
Interesting... Global models are in good agreement for now on invest 90L. And they show it meandering in the gulf and slowly developing into a weak TC before moving inland into the Texas coast as a trough picks it up early-mid next week. Could be a big rainmaker.
