Just being curious, I was looking at models on pivotal weather and nothing stands out for winter precipitation for at least Houston this week. They all keep it up north and northeast Texas. So I don’t know where people are getting these models that show ice or snow for Houston especially when the l...

Yep Models are being fairly consistent on a potent MCS moving through on Monday.Could be a heavy rain threat setting up.The storm on Wednesday looks to be a heavy rain and severe weather threat.Possibly followed by wintry precip.A lot will change,but next week is looking very active around here. This system for days has been inching west per models while i realize it's only one run so lets see if we have a trend over the next few days.

Cp17 you sound just like wxman57 he made a similar claim over at s2k y’all may be right but I think it’s way too early to call for the all clear on the Texas coast and as for a snowy cold winter who wants one with a raggedy power grid like the one Texas has.

Looks like the GFS brings the pressure down to 982mb before landfall which could be a strong category 1.Considering were within 90 hours now if this trend continues tonight and tomorrow,it will be time to start making preparations.As there wont be much time to prepare.It will be interesting to see ...

Don’t look now but the 18z GFS has a 991mb tropical storm hitting what look to be the Houston/Galveston area on 9/14.

I was looking forward to that winter weather we got I made a pot of chili and bought my favorite bourbon.I expected to have some power outages that comes with that kind of weather,but not rolling outages lasting 6 hours.Luckily I had the fuel from hurricane season to run my generator now in the futu...
