Despite what the models indicate now 95L will be a long track system and there will be plenty debate over the coming week or so as to where it will be and the position of that trough as to where it ends up.

I just got a text from a friend saying that Chevron is shutting down and evacuation all their oil platforms in the gulf due to additional storms being forecast. Is this a fake rumor or something real? Are they confusing Idalia with something coming later? Seems a bit early, and therefore suspicious...
