Re: June 2022

Mmmm…. 3 days over bath water. Fantastic. Also, a rather significant east shift. TVCN is over Matagorda Bay now. I am sticking to landfall between Palacios and Galveston. Not to be rude but I’m hoping you’re wrong  I am with you on this thought - our pond is about to be a dirt bowl if we do t ...

We have received a .5 inch Saturday, nothing with last chance and it looks like we may miss tonight. I am in Edna and we can’t get rain for anything!

Re: March 2022

We are in Dallas currently and need to get to Edna, southwest of Houston. We have 3 ways we could get home - Austin, Cameron, Houston - which of the ways would you suggest in traveling. We will be leaving by 1 pm. I was thinking Austin route but then saw I-35 is a possible hot spot. I appreciate yo...

Re: May 2021

I am in Jackson county, southern portion, and the rain has been heavy for awhile now. We got plenty of rain Sunday so won’t take much to flood.

Re: January: Hard Freeze Northern Areas & Light Wintry Mix

Someone mentioned the radar showing rain in the Victoria/Edna area and it is making it to the ground. it is primarily rain but sleet has been mixed in with it. My car thermometer showed 29-30. What are chances of ice on bridges in the morning?

Re: July - Rain ChancesMonday-Tuesday/Heat Returns

You hit the nail on the head srainhoutex! At our house we have seen maybe 2" since late February so we are very excited to see this rain in our area this morning! There have been many a times I had to read about Houston and surrounding areas receiving rain and wished it would rain over our crop...

Re: April - Wet month ahead?

Could someone explain to me what the CAPE is? In layman terms what is Ed's post saying? We are one of the lucky ones to be under this cap and receiving no rain (Jackson County). Is it looking like we are going to be cursed with this cap like 2011?

Re: April - Wet month ahead?

Most of the state has seen rain and are happy. However, Jackson county is not one of those places! Is there a cap still in place over this area, Jackson/Victoria counties? We have missed all the rain and desperately need it for the crops. Any input as to why this area is missing the rain it is much ...
