I agree BlueJay. I believe it may have been below norms for highs and lows, but nothing on the extreme side as far as hard freezes go.

Zonal flow west to east, at least to me, means moderate weather with no extremely cold temps. It's chilly out there now, but nothing too extreme.

If there's not going to be any meaningful cold fronts with the possibility of snow and or sleet, bring forth Spring and some nice thunderstorms.

Board got awful quiet once folks realized this would be a cold, miserable, and rainy event.

These shallow arctic fronts, I dislike them because they bring exactly this scenario, freezing rain/drizzle, yuck. A snow flake or at least an ice pellet is what I'm looking for.
