Models are looking good for our area. Hopefully those in central Louisiana are preparing now.

Trends are our friend so far. If 00z and 06z continue the support, it will be nice, dry and comfy temps for us. Bring on a real fall please!

Re: PTC Six

Well we are in the cone...man I just wany winter to come already lol scre this I’ll pass on winter unless we get a winter storm outta it. Fall is the best season for me weather wise. And I don’t think this storm is anything for us to worry about unless you live on the coast. I’m not worried one bit...

tireman4 wrote: Sat Sep 07, 2024 8:43 am We now have Invest 90L. Wxman57 thinks it lands as a 50kt Tropical Storm at the Texas/Louisiana border Wednesday.
That would keep most of our area on the drier side.

Re: August 2024

Lucy says “Hi!” The action was in the Sugar Land area — some isolated, but rather good cells. The NWS airport site is listed as .11 inches, but many lucky spots probably got much more (but don't know of any PWS in the area). Yea we lucked out over here! Had almost a 1/2" yesterday late afterno...

Nope! I’ll take as much as I can get!
Have had close to 20 inches here in July and need my roof replaced. It can stop raining any day now.
Well in that case, I don’t blame you. Looks like you’ll have that opportunity starting tomorrow

Not the case where I am at all. Had some nice storms earlier this morning and looks like another round on the way if it makes it here.

Had over 4” today. Most of that came in a hour or so earlier this morning. The streets were 2ft deep in the front of our neighborhood. Some intense rainfall rates for sure.

Re: July 2024

Been in donut-land all day. I’m currently under a flood advisory with a dry driveway. Yep, barely a drizzle around here as well. Seems like one of those “push the heavy rains back until whoops, here’s the heat!” Seems like that happens quite often around here. Granted, some areas have received some...

Re: July 2024

So I guess the rain chances dropped off for our area today? The rain chances dropped off for this weekend a few days ago already. Originally it was supposed to rain this weekend, but it now got pushed back into Monday. Yep.. taking the kids to splash way Monday and looks like a bummer. Rain is fine...

Re: July 2024

, I still think models are largely underestimating rainfall potential across se texas with the front becoming stationary , will need to watch flooding potential heading forwards, this is the kind of pattern that could bring that for sure I would not be surprised. Stalled cold front regardless of se...

Re: Hurricane Beryl

Since everyone is still dealing with the aftermath of Beryl in some form or fashion, this storm is still fresh on everyone’s mind. Now I simply ask everyone affected by this storm to close their eyes for a moment and imagine if 150mph Category 4 Hurricane Laura had struck our region head on like Hu...

Re: Hurricane Beryl

Hurricane Beryl packed a punch for a Category 1 hurricane. To say the least. Lost power here around 4am. Drive around the neighborhood and the tree damage is incredible. I had a massive Bur Oak lose a good 1/3 of its limbs and some fence sections down. Others weren’t as lucky. I saw 7-8 houses with...

Re: Hurricane Beryl

Yea I have to imagine there is going to be a lot of damage comparable to a Cat 2 for areas along and east of the eye. Friend had a gust of 104 in the Rosharon area.

I’m about to experience the eastern edge of it.
