Re: January 2023
No torch, for this area anyway. Certainly warmer. It may not feel much like winter. Winter is progged to return pretty quickly. My family in Oklahoma got snow out of this event. Folks, seldom do we see an extended deep freeze in our area.

Re: December 2022
57 keeps saying there is no high and no cold in NW Canada as of now. Well no shi* it's not suppose to be there till this weekend. Sometimes he sounds like a broken record with his comments I'm actually surprised. He's usually bullish on model forecasting. A good weatherman looks at what is, not jus...

Re: December 2022
Folks, be careful of the hype. We will see, of course. At this time. I'd put my money on locations east of Texas, excepting the northern portions, getting hammered. All of these belly tickling videos and seemingly "in the know" postings. Watch out. Christmas is coming. We don't want to be disappoint...

Re: August 2022
Folks, picking on wxman is a bit unfair considering most meteorologist follow model guidance. That is what he does. That is what he is paid to do. Throwing out weather God titles is a bit of a stretch. When it comes to tropical mischief it is important to live in the day and not rely on long term fo...

Re: February 2022
Guys and gals, this has happened many times before. Just be ready for anything. Even the greats, one example, Harold Taft, was subject to error even within a few hours. I lived in Dallas in the early 80s. He swore all of the winter precip. would be confined to far north Texas and Oklahoma. Got up t...

Re: February 2022
Folks, don't get your hopes up. The models have been flopping around, and they will continue until event time. We seasoned veterans have been around this forum, myself 20 years, to know better. Most weather forecasting these days has come down to nowcasting. I've seen things change on a dime the nig...

Re: August 2021: Watching the NW Caribbean/Western Gulf
The scary thing for me is that I have heart trouble; blood pressure problems, and on a breathing machine for sleep apnea. No power could be deadly.
