The problem is that the models keep rebuilding ridges over Texas. The coming next week was supposed to bring relief, but then that totally fizzled out. I fear the same will happen with the tropical/Gulf activity for day 8/9. Are we truly cursed, or all the models biased/not handling shortwaves and ...

It takes a lot of hubris to think we can accurately predict the weather. It takes even more to think we somehow have any control of it. If there is any climate change happening, that giant ball of fire in the sky and the molten core of the earth are going to have all the say in what happens, not us...

The NWS has my area with a high of 48 on Christmas day i think that may be a bit high. Where are you located? I looked across a few models…. I see nothing remotely in that range. I’m guessing some coastal areas could see low-mid 40s on Christmas but that would be it. In Richmond about 15 to 20 mile...
