Re: May 2021

Looking at model runs come Thursday and Friday the fire house looks to be focused on the Triangle and SW Louisiana. Gonna be problematic at best. One of the local station Mets have said some areas will measure this weeks rain by feet...”some areas receiving 2-3 feet of rain” nevertheless Thursday an...

Re: October 2020

Well, Beaumont has “Tropical Storm Conditions” possible for Friday now on our NWS LC forecast. Have bot been liking the trend yesterday and this morning so far. I cant handle anymore. Pray he/she goes poof. BOSTWICK seemed almost concrete that it would not be more than a little gusty wind a rain sh...

Re: September 2020: Tracking TS Beta

If the shear relaxes and it continues to fight off the dry air...could ole’ Beta pull a rabbit out of the hat? I say its quite possible. I have seen worse organized storm come back from near death to be formidable. Still don't think its a huge deal at this point but I think if it continues you may s...

Re: September 2020: Tracking TS Beta

How is a weaker storm like this able to push that dry air back like that? Is it because the wind field is so large? Beta hasn't really pushed the dry air back that well actually. You could actually argue the dry air is the largest inhibiting factor why this system won't intensify much. It's also a ...

Re: September 2020: Tracking TS Beta

It’s trying real hard to not be an under achiever...and agree center does look west and its that blob of convection that looks to be helping push the dry air away and moisten the environment. How many times have we seen storms crossing the Atlantic and carve out a pocket in dry air and thrive.

Re: September 2020: Tracking TS Beta

Beto is moistening it’s environment and may be a surprise? Dry air looks to be locked out for the time being...and I agree the center does look like it has reformed....in the last few frames of the Geo you see the swirl working under the convection.

Re: August 2020: Tracking The Busy Tropics

I think when a contracted forecaster / meteorologist tells the off shore rigs to start preparing for a shutdown, knowing that cost millions of dollars...we might want to at least recognize that maybe?
