Feels like a normal cold morning in Beaumont. Forecasted low was 32, lowest we got was 37. East of Houston just is not getting anywhere near what was predicted. Boo.

Front passed at daybreak. We are now at 4pm and still a balmy 60 in Beaumont. When is the “push” for the cold air to arrive?

Bottom graphic I would think would warrant Jefferson and orange counties to be included in the weather advisories. But I guess that particular model which has been showing same since last night holds no relevance.

Insane that Texas has winter watches all the way down the coast into south texas but Jefferson and Orange counties are not included, but Louisiana is all the way to the coast across the border.

6am and its 29 in Beaumont. Forecasted was a low of 33 by the NWS. Might even tap 28 before sun rises. Have a feeling it will be colder monday/tuesday.

1am and Beaumont already below forecasted temp. Honestly, im expecting 2-4 degrees colder than what's forecasted for Monday and Tuesday. Always seems to be that way with these cold snaps.

By the way, today is the 1997 ice storm anniversary! That was crazy. No power for a week in beaumont. Huge trees and limbs toppling over. All I can say is thank goodness for fireplaces.
