Re: April 2024
NWS has an 80% chance of rain here tomorrow - they've been steadily going up. Just watched KPRC-2 and they only have a 30%. The TV models don't show much until Tuesday - all north of here tomorrow. Interesting... The low clouds rolled in about 7 pm tonight heading NW to shroud the eclipse path. Thi...

Re: April 2024
I am not liking Monday's weather. Tomorrow doesn’t really look like much of anything. Tuesday should be the day, particularly Tuesday evening into early Wednesday. Clouds have Eclipsed the viewing party. Today or yesterday or the day before or the day before would have been good. https://m1o.pivota...

Re: April 2024
The only real chance for eclipse viewing from Waco south is a line of storms that temporarily cleans up the mess.

Re: April 2024
Unfortunately, I booked a room north of San Antonio. I experienced an eclipse in Greenville, NC back in the day. I had a 3 inch refractor telescope and my Dad and I set up a straight optical line (we removed the eyepiece) leading into a box to view the image. We set up on a staging area on campus u...

Re: April 2024
Potentially clouds and rain could interfere with viewing the April 8 eclipse...but the rain will likely be light.
So, my long term progs are
1. Another dry Spring
2. Mega tropical season and potential landfall in the western Gulf (TX, LA) of multiple major hurricanes.

Re: March 2024
I love the changes! 😄 FYI It's far out but I'm watching the 2nd week of April for the possibility of a significant cutoff low in the southwest/southern plains.Combined with an active subtropical jet, such a setup could lead to a multi day severe weather & heavy rain threat in the plains.Still f...

Fresh. Clean. It must be opening day for MLB! Even the Cubs can't blow it today...at least until 6:35 pm tonight when they play the World Champion Texas Rangers.

0.63 inches this morning, and 2.77in for the month. Not bad since we started out the month fairly dry. Once the sad line departed this morning, we've had a nice day. Nearly Chamber of Commerce type weather.

Re: March 2024
The 10-day forecast looks amazing. Beautiful spring weather with a good chance of rain on Monday. Wow - the NOAA forecast couldn't be much better. Sunny before and after Monday's storms. I hope we have sunny days ahead for the Eclipse Day (4/8). We'll be camped out near Spring Branch in the Hill Co...

1.36 inches total IMFY for the event. Yard and everything are about as good as it gets. No watering, very little if any A/C on. Enjoying the non-Big Suck weather while it lasts. Yesterday and today have been ideal - low DP in the 40s and 50s.. We have new flowers in the ground. Garden bush planting ...
