Re: February Weather Discussion. WSW Issued! Snow/Sleet/Rain?

WELL it looks like it is our neighbors to our north that will have the fun this go around. still looking to me the snow line will not reach south of a sealy conroe jasper line. i do not expect any accumalating snow near ih10 or south. doubt we will see much snow or sleet if any. right now temps are ...

Re: February Weather Discussion. WSW Issued! Snow/Sleet/Rain?

I have to agree with wxman, there just isn't cold air up north to support snow here i am hoping im wrong but looking at ob's to our north they are borderline to even support accumalating snow there, what we can only hope is that the upper levels are cold enough that when precip starts it pushes the ...

Re: February Weather Discussion. WSW Issued! Snow/Sleet/Rain?

looking at temps and dew points to our north has me very concerned this could bust, unless there is another surge of cold air i don't see this as a wide area event. i'm not trying to rain on everyone parade just facts. imho if we don't cloud over before the sun gets up in the morning i believe we co...

Re: More Cold Air On The Way In Mid/Late February For TX/OK/LA?

well, good point bout this being a HISTORIC winter but WXMAN did not quote temps actually that was sleetstorm asking what temps to expect in a form of a question. now being historic is really not what this winter has been for us maybe mid-atlantic states but this winter is really just typical southe...

Re: More Cold Air On The Way In Mid/Late February For TX/OK/LA?

I don't think so, highs in the upper 30's maybe more like temps in 40's depending on cloud cover which in this case would be a good bet no lows in the teens not even close more like upper 20's to near 30. remember guys it is almost march and sun angle is against us. still long ways out but if this p...

February Weather Discussion. Wild Winter Storms?

Next week we should have a couple light freezes. Looks like a dry northwesterly flow sets up next week. After that some models show a cross polar flow, still uncertain if this will come true even if it does climatology starting to be against us for true artic air this far south.
