Re: October 2023
Picked up a steady soaking rain for about 8 hours. And I put down coastal seed in the hay pasture yesterday, so perfect timing! Y’all enjoy your hell weather on Friday! I will be in NE Tennessee enjoying Fall! ;) There's a chance of snow flurries across the highest peaks this weekend into Monday. F...

Re: October 2023
Getting a nice downpour now. I’d sent a radar snap but the image uploader is still broken. I don’t waste my time with 3rd party sites because I can’t tell you how many of my old photo libraries and links eventually disappeared from Storm2K. So now I just upload them natively so they stay in the arc...

Re: September 2023
I've been wearing flannel long shelves all week and light jacket in the evenings since last weekend. Leaves are beginning to show some color with our morning lows in the upper 40’s to low 50's. I'm about 2 to 3 weeks away from our first frost of the Fall season here in the Smoky Mountains. Daytime h...

Re: September 2023
We'll be getting our first Fall front here in the Smokies tomorrow evening into Wednesday morning. You folks should feel a bit of cooler weather late this week. Changes are brewing. It's that time of year when we await that first true Fall front reminding us that the grip of summer is easing and the promise of cool temperatures and pleasant "tail gating" returns.

Re: 2023 Hurricane Season Discussion
Unusual pattern on the models with an east coast trough in late August. Looks more like late September or October. We've had a persistent trough overhead all summer here in WNC. Other than a few brief episodes where the upper ridge attempted to anchor, the main theme has been troughiness along the ...

Re: July 2023
I know you SE Texas folk are looking for some relief from the heat anywhere you can. We've had storms all day here in the Smoky Mountains with temperatures in the low to mid 6...
