It is upgraded to Tropical Storm Imeldaccbluewater wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2019 1:20 pm Why not just upgrade straight to T.S.? Regardless, impacts are the same.

Re: September 2019 - Tracking TS Fernand(Gulf)/ Hurricane Dorian
Wow, happy to hear Josh is ok. I’ve been a fan of his for quite some time and looking forward to seeing Hurricane Man in the next two weeks. I can’t imagine what he’s witnessed and his story will be one for the ages. Prayers to all that have had their lives destroyed by this storm. It’s certainly on...

Re: September 2019 - Labor Day Weekend/Tracking Hurricane Dorian
Amazing picture srain. I’ve seen some images out of Abacos and that’s just heartbreaking. Prayers for everyone that’s already been affected and everyone else in this historically strong storms path.
Having said that, what a beautiful, scary and humbling presentation by Mother Nature.

Re: August 2019: Weekend Rain Chances/Tracking The Tropics
I don’t know whether to continue being frustrated or just laugh because when rain is around, it’s rained everywhere but my house in the past 5-6 weeks or so. My weather station has .13” since early July. Here we are today, rain for all!! None for me, yet. Hoping it happens but knowing my luck, the a...

Re: August 2019: The Heat Is On
I just got back from a wedding, OUTSIDE, in August. Come on people, even the seersucker couldn’t combat the stifling heat index. Yikes. It always ceases to amaze me that people have outdoor weddings down here in prime Summer. It’s either going to be unbearably hot or raining. Both are uncomfortable...

Re: July 2019: Barry Makes Landfall/Louisiana Flood Threat
Clouds are lowering and darkening here in Richmond. Looks like some storms are starting to fire along that boundary just south of Rosenberg!
I’d gladly take anything at this point. I held off watering until Tuesday to see if we can get lucky

Re: July 2019: Tracking Hurricane Barry
Warnings to Sabine pass now this just keeps getting closer to tx We are still on the dry and hot side and will continue to be. I think those warning are primarily for winds. It is amazing that Barry kept going west when everyone (except the UKMET) kept it way east of where it actually made landfall.

Re: July 2019: Tracking Tropical Storm Barry
Agreed. It’s mid July and Gulf storms are usually odd balls but generally predictable. This one is quite strange indeed. Having said that, it may look completely different once the sun comes up. It’s sit and watch time

Re: July 2019: Tracking Tropical Storm Barry
Thanks for the real time reports!
One thing I find kind of odd, I have bird feeders and a bird bath, I always have birds around eating/drinking 6-8ish and they are no where in sight right now and haven’t been all evening. Probably an anomaly and nothing, but it’s a little odd if you’d ask me.

Is the rain heavy, like massive rain drops, or just a standard shower? Curious to hear if these bands will be dumping rain or just spitting on us lol

Barry is crazy! Wasn't that the center that recon was showing earlier that is now racing towards the coastline?

Re: July 2019: Tracking Tropical Storm Barry
That's pretty much the forecast. The convection the CoC just went under is really starting to blow up now!dbrooks77346 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 9:35 am So if the center has been pulled to the convention in the south as it looks like , then it should get settled and then turn north soon right?
