Bummer. Solid line forms to my north literally as it passes over me, just early enough in the day to jack-up the eclipse without the beneficial rain…and oh look…breaks in the clouds to the south. The sun will probably come out just when the eclipse is over.

Of course this “line” takes off the moment is passes me…

NWS has an 80% chance of rain here tomorrow - they've been steadily going up.

Looking more and more like the weather is going to spoil the viewing in Texas.

The big story next week will be the economic losses associated with the weather. Texas was expected to bring in a total of $1.4 billion in revenue related to eclipse-related activities. I don’t see how that’s possible now.

Yes, next week’s drought monitor should look much better. This rain was very timely and should last us a good while (especially if it rains again Monday) but it doesn’t take long to dry out again.
