Happy for the folks on the NW side getting some rain. Sure wish it was a little more to the east, though. I can hear the thunder. So close...yet so far away.

Rain seems to like me when it's supposedly all over. I got a quick .12" in a late PM shower. I'm glad to have it, but it's not enough to do much....

I'm done. Throwing in the towel after watching this for a week. I just turned-on the sprinklers.

I hope the stuff to the SW holds together -- those bands setting-up N-S along 45 and 59 in Houston are just east of me.

Look at the new storms firing off the the NE, up in East Texas along US59. And here around Houston, nothing, even as another outlfow is crossing at 6:30 in the evening. *smh*

Still not a drop here and this latest discussion from our local NWS isn't very encouraging if you want some rain: SOME MODELS ARE INDICATING THAT THE BEST CHANCE OF HEAVY RAINFALL COULD END UP BEING CENTERED OFF SHORE AND INTO SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA. So far, a repeat of yesterday. All the bands fall apart as they advance inland...

You can clearly see the Coc on the Brownsville radar, spinning offshore the coast slowly headed west.

I've seen many a TD with a worse-looking radar presentation than that. Just sayin'

I don't think it's a given this system makes landfall today/tonight in South Texas before the trough lifts it up. It seems to be stalled/drifting. That could really change things up.

With our luck, we'll get the dry slot to the SW.

Yeah, maybe someday "tomorrow" will get here. We need it bad - the trees are stressed and some are dying off.

If we did not have that 5-inch soaking back in May, this summer would have killed a lot more than it did.
