My high temperature yesterday and today were in the mid 70's. Starting to see some early leaf colors ...

Re: Long range model discussion

The 12Z ECMWF ensembles suggests the possibility of a Western Caribbean disturbance. We do not discourage discussions of potential tropical mischief on our Forum. There are plenty of folks that monitor our discussions here on Wx Infinity. Carry on...

RIP Hurakan/Lew Fincher

We lost a titan in the SE Texas Tropical Weather Community this past weekend. Lew was a member here on Wx Infinity and a friend to many of us. Lew was active in shaping the way that SE TX and the entire Texas Coast responds to Hurricane threats dating back to the 1990's. Lew was a master historian o...

Congratulations Cpv17! Change can be a bit intimidating, but an increase in pay in the current inflationary environment is a positive thing. All the best to you!

Re: We Need Your Help: Donations

Hey folks. We need your help keeping Wx Infinity running. Funds are getting low and we are operating on about 2 months worth of hosting fees ($60 per month). If you can contribute any amount, it will help us keep our Weather Community going. I have exchanged emails with Andrew regarding the security...

Re: January 2022

TXDOT will be pre treating major roads and bridges in 10 Counties in the Corpus WFO Region. Interesting. Who advises TXDoT? The regional WOs or the NWS at large? I just feel like this could really creep up on people, and after last February’s ice storms, a little transparency from all involved coul...

12Z NAM coming in colder with frozen precip all the way to the coast.BTW this is a very similar setup to the "surprise" snow of December 2017. Glad to see the December 2017 event mentioned! Kudos Don for recognizing the synoptic setup. Overrunning precipitation over a very dense cold air ...
