12z Euro has an arctic front moving through north texas at the end of its run, its not very often you get a triple blocking setup up with a -AO/NAO/ EPO setup, and it looks to last into the first week of march at the very least, fun times ahead

Euro weeklies and latest CFS guidance are incredible, they both keep us well below average temperature wise starting after the 13th of february and continuing through almost all of march, noaas 3-4 week outlook reflects this idea as well

Cromagnum , yeah its been crazy cold up there, but thats going to be changing over the next 10 days, Fairbanks is one of the coldest places in alaska and the united states in general , and after todays high of -32, they are expected to climb in into the single digits to low teens for highs next week...

EPO takes a huge nose dive after the 12th on the GEFS ( with some members approaching extreme territory) and EPS, AO/ NAO/ go negative and stay negative for quite some time, PNA goes positive, but stays between sigma 1-2 so not overly positive, so wouldn’t be surprised to see the ensembles shift bac...

Winter is far from over, i do see several freezes in february, plus models are hinting at a very dynamic storm system next week that could bring wintry precip to the state, anyone who says winter is over is kidding themselves

I would be perfectly fine with no rain for the next couple of weeks, glad the drought is likely gone for most areas, but my yard cant take anymore rain, rivers are swollen if not going out of their banks in some areas, need that sunshine and dry weather to return please!
