Feels like a normal cold morning in Beaumont. Forecasted low was 32, lowest we got was 37. East of Houston just is not getting anywhere near what was predicted. Boo.

Front passed at daybreak. We are now at 4pm and still a balmy 60 in Beaumont. When is the “push” for the cold air to arrive?

Bottom graphic I would think would warrant Jefferson and orange counties to be included in the weather advisories. But I guess that particular model which has been showing same since last night holds no relevance.

Insane that Texas has winter watches all the way down the coast into south texas but Jefferson and Orange counties are not included, but Louisiana is all the way to the coast across the border.

6am and its 29 in Beaumont. Forecasted was a low of 33 by the NWS. Might even tap 28 before sun rises. Have a feeling it will be colder monday/tuesday.

1am and Beaumont already below forecasted temp. Honestly, im expecting 2-4 degrees colder than what's forecasted for Monday and Tuesday. Always seems to be that way with these cold snaps.

By the way, today is the 1997 ice storm anniversary! That was crazy. No power for a week in beaumont. Huge trees and limbs toppling over. All I can say is thank goodness for fireplaces.

NWSLC keeps inching down my temps for Beaumontfor Monday and Tuesday. Started with highs at 45 and lows 24. Now they have high at 40 and low of 21. Have a feeling it will go lower as we get closer. Esp the high temp. Accuweather still showing frozen precipitation falling for Beaumont Monday. We will...

Looks like many stations are calling for just a glancing blow. A one nighter of extreme temps. Im sure they are tip toeing before they pull the trigger since we are still 7 days out.

Well today wasnt sooo bad. I was expecting all hell to break loose. Thankfully it stayed in check. Squall line shortly then done. On to the potential winter weather.

Also, why has no one issued a tornado watch for today with the threat of tornados?

We have a local met who is now saying the dynamics of todays threat are now more towards Louisiana than Setx now. If that is true, nothing really happened. Is this true?

Getting really concerned here in the triangle and beaumont area on todays severe weather event. Love me some bad weather, but tornados I can do without.
