Re: EXTREMLEY ANGRY, STUPID WEATHER,PLEASE REPLY SRAIN

The only 'person(s)' that can do anything about the warm weather (80s in November, which is fairly typical for Houston) is Mother Nature herself, and God Almighty!

Re: October- First Strong Fall Front This Week. Fire Danger!

I have a question for the pros out here on this forum. Alright, so the past two winters here in SE Texas, and well, Texas in general has been some of the coldest two winters on record. Not all time coldest winters, but we've broken many records over the past two years. I mean, last winter we were in...

Re: September Weather Discussion

I wouldn't put too much hope on something from the deep tropics this late in the season. Today's 0Z Euro off of the idea of a piece breaking off the trough and coming West, but since a big Western trough doesn't seem in the cards, a development of non-tropical origin seems the only hope. This curre...

Re: September Weather Discussion

This... is... Amazing... The front part of the line, (the strongest) well at least move through before rush hour, but it will still be a sloppy mess with the moderate rain behind this storm. MUCH of East Texas from Dallas to Houston saw rain overnight. Much of West Texas and south from San Antonio s...

Re: TS Nate: SW Gulf of Mexico

Carl Parker on the Weather Channel this afternoon around 2:50pm said that one of the most reliable Hurricane Models had this storm coming into Houston. (He didn't say which model it was) but he later continued with saying that would be a good thing for rain wise, but bad news for wind. I wonder whic...

Re: Troipcal Storm Lee: S of Louisiana

Texas is getting back at Lee. Here they had predicted a week ago that the 'Tropical Disturbance' would more than likely come to Texas, as 80% of the models agreed with that. With only a few going to LA. Well now that "Lee" has teased TX in this severe drought we're in, TX is going to do ev...

Re: TD 13 Western/Central Gulf of Mexico

The link below I found on YouTube regarding Tropical Depression #13. When I watched this video, gave me the Goosebumps (mainly because of the intense music) and quickly reminded me of Allison. Like Frank said on the news cast tonight, this is going to be an Allison storm for much of Louisiana. This ...

Re: ATL: Invest 90L - Texas Hurricane Threat?

I know we're all hopeful to see some rain out of this storm, and yes, it would be nice if we did get a TS or even a minimal hurricane out of this. However, let's not forget... WE ARE IN A DROUGHT!!! Any storm at all that produces any significant wind can knock down so many trees. I don't think we're...

Re: January Weather Discussion: Heavy Rain/Storms Then Cold

I went to the Weather Channel's website, and I typed in the search box, Houston, TX and went to the 10 day forecast. When I did so. I went to Monday and Tuesday. And if you click those two days and look at the precip. for the area in our area during the day and night, you can see they are picking up...
