A little concerning that the sun is coming out again, that combined with strong inflow from the gulf would explain why models show CAPE values increasing so much over night.

The atmosphere is suppose to destabilize again by tonight. The HRRR shows CAPE values over 3500+ J/kg as the squall line moves through.

If that large slow moving supercell over Fort bend/Wharton counties moves into the urban areas flooding is going to be bad, radar is estimating rainfall rates of over 4 inches an hour....

There will be storms today you can already see them on radar firing up in the hill county. Those supercells will slowly back build to the south and west as the afternoon progresses and form into a squall line/mesoscale convective system.
